ABY to 3B

Is it possible to run an ABY engine as a 3B engine? using my distributor and loom etc, the ABY does have a blanking plug for the dizzy to fit in.

You'd need a 3B inlet camshaft, a dizzy of course and a coil, depending on your inlet manifold it may need modding to clear the dizzy, biggest problem will be the ecu unless your car is 3B to begin with?

It's ok,let Dan have it.I won't know till tomorrow night if the engine is fooked or not,i've got enough bits to repair but just thought it may have been easier to bang another engine in.

Big difference on electronic management though, Cant run ECU from ABY and vice versa.
