when i start my s2 on a morning there is a strange clicking/whining noise, its sounds like its coming from the front of the engine but it goes away after about 60 seconds, can anyone help?

I'd say its related/connected to your other problem noise could be coming from power steering pump , a little bit of play being taken up when your bomb has built up enough pressure.Comment

steering is fine apart from small knock near full lock but i think that is strut top bearings which will be repalced tomorrow. will disconnecting the switch on the pas fluid tank make any difference?Comment
