054 115 105E vs 054 115 105A

I wanted to replace, the pump oil for the new engine, so i checked the price of a new oil pump around 450E, i searched on ebay, and found, various oil pump, using the same layout / body, i found this on 054 115 105E - around 150E new, only difference, is the last letter, does some one have more info ?

Dont quote me but do they differ from 3B to ABY

If you check the lists on those 2 ebay adverts I do not see any 2.2t engine mentioned, also I do not find an E version in your links.

When I check the family album I see that pump for AAN/ABY and ADU should have the number 054 115 105 E

For a 7A/3B engine the part number needs to be 034 115 105 B

The one with E, on the PN , is the original one, around 450E, the one with A in the PN, is the cheap one, used, for example in 2.2 20v audi 200v engine. I wonder what are the differences betwen them.

The difference between 7A/3B and ABY is the method of timing belt adjustment. The early 7A/3B oil pumps have a mounting point for the idler pulley. ABY and AAN have the idler mounted further up on the engine block.
