    Gammy Spark Plug wrong type?

Had the s2 oot for a blast for the first time in a while after being on holiday.
    Not firing right off boost

Checked my plugs and one was loose and had a small crack in the insulator.
Found that the plugs that are fitted are Bosch FGR6HQE0 four pronged plugs?
I thought that F5DPORs have only one electrode, is that right?
Retightened and fitted new boots and its now running a lot better, will try and source
    F5DPOR plugs tomoorrow.

Anyone been using this type? any Opinions?

NA 5cyls like the NM/7A use a four prong copper plug, there probably one of those. General consensus is F5DPOR only for the turbo motors.

Think these have been fitted by a audi dealer on a service before I owned it.
Cant find F5DPOR locally? even phoned Audi and they asked me if i was sure the S2 was a I5 as he couldint find any details or info with the engine code
Will have to get the plugs ordered.

      cheers

bkr7e is what i run. i have been ok with them and a lot cheaper. a copper plug but thats no bad thing.

you tend to find turbo plugs are single electrode.

You can buy the bosch plugs from your local gsf. If you can get the s2forum discount, it's £36 all-in for a set.

When was the last time you checked that price? I spoke to GSF in Sheffield last week and they wanted £9.50+VAT each.

good move. ive run um for 5k now no issues. gotta try things to see how they go otherwise you never know.

worth checking the gaps if you have any issues on boost. ive not had any yet though

Those NGK cheapo plugs will not last and will cause misfires, BTDT. Even the correct NGK PFR7B plug will cause misfires.

THE ONLY plug worth using from stock car to 650bhp is the Bosch F5DP0R. Nothing else comes close.

Dont forget a misfire at the wrong time can lead to major engine damage like bent conrods.

That Bosch plug is the preffered upgrade plug on S4's RS4's and even 1.8T's. Standard copper core plugs cannot withstand the constant stress and heat of a turbo engine. The ends can melt and break off either getting stuck under a valve, and/or going thru your turbo.
