    @Leigh/Beetie 'Covered in Crap'

Heh - well it was my car we were working on, but everyone pitched in the same, despite the lack of muck. Maybe I just got all the crappy jobs *shrug* I left all the hard to turn bolts to someone else - Previously, I found that yeah, I can get bolts off, but I end up breaking the bolt, or the tool. 'Ham fisted' is a term that springs to mind...

The Lambda probe wouldn't come out - I purposefully stayed away from it, knowing it was calling 'break me in half, break me in half' if I went near it.

Running temps on mine only go to 90+ if I'm sat in traffic, otherwise it runs at around 70 odd, 80 ish, thought I'm not quite sure how much each mark on the dial represents.

With Chris' plans, I think it best to go 'the whole hog' i.e. bearings, rods, etc to avoid the problems the boy Cockings has been having. Saying that, Tom always seems to test everything to destruction

    'The Bacofoil Express'...

    No more.

Leon TDI 150 run in now.

    Very slow.

    Needs a chip.

Greg - if you come out in it you will spend more money!

I also managed to test out my custom rear ARB for the first time - Drove it very hard and got the back end to step right out with Sal's mate in the car - other than that incident I can get the back end sliding before the front - it is fun - i don't think my tyres are going to last too long now!

I also do not have any rubbing on the 19s now - I took my front mudflaps off - they must have casued the rubbing noises becasue it hasn't rubbed once since then.

I got to drive Kevin's UrQ on friday - it is basically full RS2 spec but it wouldn't go much over 300bhp due to the tiny standard IC - he has a big Corey designed IC but we couldn't get it to fit. That will be a monster with 370bhp and his Porsche brakes he has for it - feels very different to drive to an S2 - and it doesn't like getting put in 6th Gear

Sal's car was rapid - he is pushing the RS2 turbo over it's limit but it goes very fast - not as fast as mine though

A leon TDi was mapped - and he says he can't stop driving it fast now - he was very impressed.

Paul's S2 with his cold intake pipe seems to work very well - ducting from the oil cooler ducting upto the standard ABY airbox was giving very low intake temps.

It would have been an early finish if there wasn't problems with the 1.8T golf - but at least progress was made.

Chris was a great guy to take to the pub - we managed to get a round of 4 (alcoholic) drinks for less than £3 everytime - some were doubles!

I'm going to try and do some logging to see how fast the car is really going - I have kept up with a couple of big motorbikes on the twisties and the straights - it feels brilliant - worth the wait.

                    Bump!

Which Paul has the ducting from the oil cooler to the ABY airbox and is there any pics knocking about?
