Why not ask berniquattro who bought one for an RS2 on the 7th of July?

Dunno about 1.6bar overboost - that is some way into choke on the K24 turbo.... I'd be skeptical. Don't forget you'll to fit sockets in your ECU too - these won't be just plug and play.

Why risk it, these chips have no background just a long journey from Lithuania and could do expensive damage to your engine especially if they've defeated any of Motronic's protection mechanisms and you've got to get them soldered in or do it yourself.

Go the Homefries route: plenty of feedback on here to show it does the business - safely.

It is high probability, that you will get software on the chip. There are few kinds floating around here. Also there are few respected chip tuners here, who know how to make good chip for 3b. If you are lucky - you may get copy of their custom mapped software, which is good, however it is usually designed for specific car/setup.

So it's like a lottery. You may get good locally made software, you can get copy of abt/digitech/superchips/whatever branded or "branded" chip, which is probably the most expected, and you can get something very wrong what will destroy your engine or even blank chip. Like everywhere - there are good and honest people and bad people.

There are also plenty of people on here that have had chips and then removed them to change to homefry.

I sent him a message about these for a 3B, he claimed it was mapped to make 1.6bar on a std 1bar MAP sensor. How does that work then

Why oh why would ANYONE buy an ebay chip, putting your head into a lions mouth whilst flicking his love spuds is probably less dangerous!
