    URS6 Wiring questions

Hey guys I have a little project that I am working on that I could use some help with. I am transplanting the engine from a wrecked 95 s6 that I have into my 87 944. I removed the ecu harness from the s6, traced all the wires in it, and still have some questions. Is there anyone on here that could help with adapting the wiring into the new car? I would like to eliminate as much wiring as possible to clean it up and also keep the vag-com port. Let me know if I have come to the right place. Thanks.
currently: 1987 944 NA 5spd, 250 lb hyper coils, 27 mm t bars, Koni, 968 m030 bars, full delrin, Audi I5 20VT, VEMS, Tilton, EFI Express, Seimens, Race Technologies

Check AAN to typ85 thread. It has lot of info about harness itself. Note, S6 ECU will have immobiliser, which will need ignition lock/key/transducer and white box from orginal car (can sleep safely somewhere under dash), or just kill it putting aftermarket chip in the ECU.

I have read that post and it contains some valuable information. I had already mapped the wiring of the loom before I found the post though. I was under the impression that the US version of the s6 didn't have imob in 1995. Also I was reading on your blog, very nice. It is similair to mine at http://ninas20vt.blogspot.com . Do you have any wiring information posted in the blog that I should search for?

You are correct. In North America, we never got an immobilizer in an C4 UrS (S4 or S6). As for wiring diagrams, you need to get a hold of a Bentley for the C4.

What are the t6ag coding plug pins 38 and 39 used for?

you can ignore them - only used on certain models with specific ECU that support things like speed limiters

                awesome, thanks!
It's my understanding that the ECU doesn't care if the CCFV is not installed. Is this true and if so are there any other nonessential engine systems that could be removed and still run on the stock ECU? This is for a track car and she doesn't need any extra weight or added complexity. On that note I would like to retain the use of the vag-com port. Are the K and L wires all that are required for this ****ionality, or is there supporting circuitry elsewhere in the vehicle? Thanks.
