A strange noise has appeared upon turning the ignition on and turning off after a run.....It can only be described as a bubbling/ gurgling sound coming from the fuel tank area.
Any ideas? Maybe fuel pump or fuel filter?Hopefully nothing serious!
Seems to be running ok at the moment.

My avant does that sometimes too, dont think its anything to worry about. I changed the fuel filter recently so i assumed it was air still trapped in the system.

Are you sure it's coming from the rear, only ours did it for ages, turned out to be a blocked air-con drain... Check your footwell carpets aren't wet (if you've got air-con)...

I'll have a look and see if i can see or find a blockage in the tank breather.(Strange how it's intermittent though).
