We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
can anyone explain in basic terms why low oil level (just above min) results in smoke. Thought turbo had gone! Top up and no smoke. I heard the s2 was sensative to oil levels but why the smoking. Aby with +4 pressure and 2.5 steady when hot, runs like a dream. Any ideas?
anyone? Basically bought her/it because it was thought a new turbo was needed but looking at receipts she had a new one (gen audi work) at 120k. Now on 143k and all is well apart from smoke when getting low on oil. New pcv system fitted and is fine otherwise. not a problem, just wtf??
