I've been following this thread eagerly.. I'm prepearing an S2 motor to go into my kitcar but one of the oil cooler lines has been knackered. Does anyone know what the threads are on the standard oil cooler and on the engine block? Also does anyone have advise as to where I can source a pair of new oil lines /make my self?

Further I've seen the oil/water coolers and that is a possibility, but how exactly does that work? anyone got any extra info?

    Ta mucho

Original oil cooler fittings are M18x1.5.

Oil-water coolers work by exchanging heat from the oil into a water based coolant system, instead of the air through an oil-air cooler. The coolant that is used to cool the oil then needs cooling.
All extra weight, plumbing, and load on the coolant system from what I can see.

Oh, and welcome to the forum BTW.

Don't forget to post a project thread.

Project thread .. check ..will do.

Noticed also that I've got two broken connector on the engine loom and the aux waterpump output is broken, and was bypassed. Not a good sign . Just browsing around to see whats available, so far as I can work out doesn't need to be the same as original, Bosch make a number of 12v Aux pumps.
