Which hose, IC to X pipe or X pipe to TB? Had issues with both over the years, need to take your time when tightening the clamps to make sure that they're sitting right and are tight, as tight as you can get on a screwdrive handle with jubilees, I've found Mikalors pop off, must be due to less pressure with the larger band.

Well spot on Sir!
Its very tight indeed. And the intercooler to the pipe that runs across the cam case is subject to the engine moving
I took Steve's pipe and extended it by over 30mm and now the clamping surface area has been increased it works 120% better
The ABY pipe is better as it is longer and so flexes more with the engine.
This was done on a ABY The samco had only about 10-15mm grip on the pipe cold and about 4mm more when hot. Even If i adjusted both ends time and time again.
Picture was a 3B, your car Terry if I'm not mistaken.
You have to fit the X pipe end first, get the pipe sitting on the X pipe flange, it doesn't sit square unless you get it just tight enough to hold and then manipulate the pipe. Then get the hose sitting nicely on the X member and repeat

Well this one did not fit properly at all but,
now fits as i would say "it should do at both ends" . Why mess about all day when something is done right it only has to be done once and left alone just my two pence hey...
Well i have a hose with an extension already on if any one would like it PM me. It must be a comman problem. Worse if you have done your engine mounts so it sits higher for sure.
my car has 034 engine mounts that ant said raised the engine a little hence the reason why the roose hose was a very tight fit. James has sorted it for me though
