IS there a restrictor in the stock 3b fuel connection ?

No. It's the non-return valve you have just bought.

Yes i know, i didnt have one on my pump.
I have orderd banjo + domed nut, it will arive tomorrow.

Got me wondering if I have the one way valve on my setup... I have the 044 pump built up in a new cradle ready to fit.

So item '800' is the non return valve ?

If so then yes I think its there on mine.

I dont think that is the none return valve ,mine sits in top of the banjo bolt and is a mushroom shape

No the 800 is a black cover in shiny rubber when shipping. same on the bottomis a plastic plug.

Today i recieved some parts, and hit a snag.
I have 1992, with 3B engine. i have read that my strainer should fit the new pump basket and the pump should be 60mm.

The strange thing is that the strainer and the basket is the same pice and i have the thin ABY pump ?
i will order the damn strainer tomorrow,

only thing i did different to the pic of pump thats built up is i took out the spacer (nut looking thing on the bottom in the thing that looks like a one way valve, i have been running on the new 044 pump now for a week and works great.

But doesent the pump sit lower ? looks on the picture that you just put it in the basket and skimmed of a bit on the went hole ????

What do i modiy to get the pump to sit as low as needed ?

yes that all i did, i compared to the old one i took out and they were sitting the same at the bottom, if you make it to low it wont flow as well, i run the car so low on fuel other day needle didnt move up and still run so i would not worrie about it as most people wont run that low on fuel, have you seen bottom of your tank yet? the pump sits in a dish bit so will alway have a small amount of fuel even when needle says no fuel.

okey, could you remove the old strainer from the old pump ? or how did you manage to compare ?

i was trying to get old one off the ended up breaking it off, they dont come off easy if they are ment at all? if you want pump to sit lower make 3 small cuts in top of basket and that will let the pump sit lower.

hm.... i dont have 3 groves on teh pump ??, onlu a grove all way arround.. or do you mean if you make 3 cuts it will flex out and the pump will sit lower ?

We made a cut down the length of the basket which opened it up enough to slide the pump all the way down i then used a tie rap on the top just to hold it .
