    2.8 Quattro Coupe Exhaust

Hi all,i have just bought a 1993 2.8e Quattro Coupe, love the car but the rear exhaust box is blowing badly,i want a decent sport's back box to put on it, not to get a real boy racer sound, just want a decent throb from the V6. I live in the channel islands and its hard to get hold of decent exhausts so can anyone recommend a good one for the car, thanks in advance

i had the very same car with the very same problem. So it would have been rude not too. Based on others with same cars i opted for 3 silencers and a single sports cat from the manifold back. that was £450 4 years ago. It made it throatier without being boy racer esque as it was my daily driver for 3 years. Only issue was space underneath the sports CAT was quite big and occassionally caught it on speed bumps. I used powerflow who had a place locally, i live in the North of Scotland so i dont have a lot of choice either. But over the water you should have more options. Long Life have a good reputation.

As far as off the shelf exhausts go, Milltek have always been rather nice!

Same motor as me to, if its just the backbox your changing you'll struggle to find an decent "off the shelf" performance box, I had my system made to suit also.

The rear box is the same fitment as the S2 coupe I do believe, im sure someone on here will have their standard one lying around in the garage if its another OEM box you're after.

Thanks for the advice guys, been real helpful, just one more thing whilst looking for exhausts on the net, there were a few different options for my coupe, they were asking for model number ie coupe 8B etc, what code is it??? or how do i find out. Also had i de-catted,no probs yet except the exhaust rattles when accelerating hard,i guess too much pressure going through baffles in boxes??? Will i get any engine issues from having cats removed. Sorry for all questions but this is first Audi i have owned, had mostly Toyota's ( Supra 3.0i turbo=nice!!!) so it would be nice to find out any probs i could be in store for
