Fault code 00561 /G70

My RS2 is showing fault code 00561 (thanks Le S2 audi for the use of VAGCOM) and S2 central mentions incorrect signal from G70, can anyone tell me what the G70 is and what it does please as I've no idea

Hi Paul...

It was nice to meet you yesterday... As I said M8 anytime....

G70 = Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor From what I've just found.... No Idea what it is or what it does... so will follow this with thread with interest....

FYI - I think "Al Wyn" had one listed on Fleabay...

HI Paul,
Do a search for 561. It can be one of many things causing the code.
As you will read mine was fuel pressure regulator at fault.
I have a maf if you want to borrow it, its a known good one.

Thanks for the info & offer mate but I've just ordered a new one from S2Avant so I hope that solves the problems I'm having (bad idle,poor fuel consumption, sooty exhaust and reduced performance & hesitation)

I've also got a new downpipe coming soon as mine is shot which is also mentioned on S2central as a possible reason for the 561 code

Maf

New MAF fitted on Wednesday. Seems to have fixed all my problems and the car is flying again fingers crossed it stays this way
