    Pesky Oil Leak

When arriving at work yesterday I noticed a patch of oil in front of the drivers front wheel. I replaced the lost oil and drove home - I noticed a tappety sound when arriving home and saw a patch of oil develop in the same place. When opening the bonnet, I noticed a braided home that seems to go from the block or at least the LHS of the engine to the oil cooler was dripping oil where the bow in the hose was lowest. I have not been able to get under there and see where the oil is coming from as I have no oil, no oil in my car and am currently unable to investigate........
Losinf oil is no surprise as I have a smokey exhaust which possibly points to turbo oil rings - but this is different.

Anyone experienced something like this - any solutions on 'root Cause Analysis'???

    Any help is most appreciated.

You might have a damaged oil cooler hose - or sometimes a joint at the cooler itself weeps - these are expensive boogers... maybe you can bypass the cooler with another temporary hose and just drive gently until all the cooler / hoses turn up.
