Cruise control problems

Ive a cruise control setup on an ABY Avant, which has never worked. The car was crashed last year and Ive removed the parts. Ive another S2 I would like to fit it to....

Pump, pedal switches, stalk, control module, vacuum hoses, throttle vacuum unit. Ive tested the pump, that works and will move the throttle rod.

Does anyone know how to test the stalk, switches or control module, or does someone fancy testing my module/stalk on their working system?? Ill pay for any time, its just the stalk and module are mega bucks and rarely come up for sale separately second hand.

Out of interest how did you test the pump?

Switch can be tested with a multimeter, the only thing inside is a board with printed tracks that the various switches make contact with. Its a fairly easy process to disassemble and clean the contacts, i've resurrected two faulty switches that way. I think i have some piccys so i can do up a quick guide if you need it.
