    Inlet manifold screws

I realise I'm in the presence of the cognescenti here, but I watched someone struggling (and cursing) more than necessary the other day so I thought I'd post this as a leveller.

There's absolutely no need to struggle with inlet manifold screws. Probably 99% already know this, but ...

I just position the screw with a magnetic pickup tool and catch it with the 6mm driver. I use a FACOM SHP.6EL2 driver - it was (from the way it fits) designed for this specific job. Doing the tricky one (where you need to go under the brake fluid reservoir) I use a 1/2" to 3/8" step-down adapter.

There's something about the way the 20V inlet manifold gasket self-locates that makes it a doddle compared with the 10Vs.

Cut longer bolts heads off and slot them at one end. The two alignment dowels will help. I had to do so when I installed my IM spacer and 2 gaskets.
