    flippin dizzy again

i had this issue about a couple of years ago,the dizzy went on me.and now it happen again.
i just purchase a new rotor arm to replace the old one,but cant even get that off.why the hell did Audi welded the flippin rotor arm on the dizzy.half of the engine have to come out, just because of a flippin rotor arm. now they dont even make em no more.
now i'm force to rip out the 3b engine replace it with my Rs2 engine,so let just say 3b to Rs2 project start from here.
    wish me luck.

Isn't the rotor glued on, so you have to crush it? (like on the 16v)

      Yup, poxy epoxy.

Personally I like to dismount the distributor and do it on a bench - the odds of bending the shaft in situ are too great.

yes i know, but you have to remove the manifold.
        then remove the dizzy.
too much work just to remove a rotor.

Very true. I always find the inlet manifold is not much of a problem, but the damn "factory seal" on the distributor is a problem. You can't just saw it off because of the heater hose just behind it.
