How about your centre propshaft mount? mines well knackered. Normally means a new prop but there is a BMW bearing which is a straight fit. picked it up today so will probably be fitting it at the garage meet.

The grease nipple is there, there is a small cutout in the heatshield. The UJ's are a standard size and can be sourced from local factors. Mine has a sligh bit of wear on the splined joint. Can only be expected at 162k running the power that it does!sigpic

Had me nipple greased last service.
May have improved matters but not solved them. I will d/w garage doing them again.Alastair
