I an trying to understand ecu operating in a more complicaded way.
The simpple way is:ecu gets imput signals from different sensors(rpm sensor,cps,knock sensor,air temp sensor,water temp sensor,maf,map,altitude sensor,oxigen sensor...) and decides:ignition point,fuel quantity,boost level.
So,all people are talking about MAPS,but only fiew of them know what exactly is a map,how is ecu creating conections to choose the right"answer".
It is a kind of:if knock is above X level THAN retard ignition,or lower boost.
It is a kind of operating system, but only fiew of us know exactly how it works. It is lyke windows, many use it but nobody cares what is under the friendly interface...
I'd like to see a graph with o2 sensors output beeing analysed by ecu and the ecu decision. Why?Because i want to know what exactly ecu is does when o2 sensor indicates a large o2 quantity in exhaust gases.Ecu deliveres a large quantity of fuel to engine(because it is to small fuel) or/and lowers boost(because large o2 quantity in exhaust gases could mean less fuel or to much air)...
This can be hard, but step by step it can be explaned.Links, pictures, graphs etc.
Excuse me for my bad english.
