just whent for a spin and now its ok.... boost's to 1.3 no problem...
could it be because the fan was working and the temperature showing 93 celcius and the ecu cuts ?

Mine does a similar thing if its left for a few days it misses really bad on boost but if I drive it to work (30 miles) when I drive home its fine! and goes like stink I think my problem is my coil getting damp in it and then drying out with the heat from the engine bay when its driven again

If its a 3b engine, check the distrubitor cap, it may cause misfire. Misfire long result is bent rods. Check in search for" 3b misfire" or smth.

Sorry for bad english, im bit drunk of beer

                mine is a ABY
                mine is not missfiring
every time the boost gage showed 0.5 bar it would cut. the temp gage was showing
                94 +/- celcius

later on whent for a spin and the car is boosting normal 1.2bar

Overboost protection stops it from overboosting, it doesn't mean that it is shown more pressure on the dial, a more than ambiguos name but a commonly used forum term to describe what the ECU does.

Basically the duty cycle for the WGFVand the pressure that is being attained are substantially different due to a pressure leak and so the ECU gets in a piss and stops the boost, thus returning to the factory setting of 0.4Bar. It's a safety thing, stops the turbo working too hard and splattering itself all over the engine bay if you've got a leak, can also be triggered by a dodgy MAF and temperature sender.

More than likely, the garage have moved a pressure hose joint when doing the work and it's now leaking.

Did they take off the front crossmember for any reason? IC O ring sounds like a likely candidate if they did, check out the numerous Mark H threads, that'll solve any issues there. Otherwise, you need a pressure testign kit to get it all working correctly, will get you a few ponies too if it's been leaking for a while, it'll feel like a new car when all sorted

they change the coolant and the alternator don't think they needed to take any pressure hose but I'll check it

the car has a mrc chip so I dont know whats the correct pressure for that remap

Either 1.2 and 1.5 depending on high or low pressure variant, dropping to about 0.8 at the red line.
