Do adjustable cam gears (cam chain) need machining, rework at cylinderhead to fit?

    .

To allow for maximum adjustment on both cams ref. TDC...does that make sense?

I don't as you make the adjustable cam wheel very very hard to use as you have double adjustment on the same cam

          .

          Right here goes...

I can adjust the ex. cam +/- with an adjusable cambelt wheel (have this), this will also change the in. cam by the same degrees +/-. If i have a second adjustable cam chain wheel on the ex. cam i can return the in. cam to its 'neutral' position.

This then gives me a full +/- adjustment on the in. cam by also having an adjustable wheel on the in. cam.

          God that hurt...

Question is...do i need this amount of adjustment really?

          Phew...

              its one of those.

id expect 2 chain wheels are cheaper but 1 chain and a external pulley is easier as once the overlap is set its - or +.

if you want stock look then its 2 internals but im a bit far down the river now.
