165mm rods ?

i found some videos on youtube and searched some more info. Reading the specs i saw, that this care uses 165 mm rods ? in tall block ?

from what i read, the usual lenght is somewhere between 155-158mm, is it possiblle, or what are advantages of using rods so long ? It would have to get a very short piston to keep the CR down ?

Increase the rod ratio at the expense of compression height of the piston.

Not what I would do if you ask me as the CH will be around 23-24mm on the pistons from a mental calculation.

So basicaly a slighty higher rpm,lighter pistons and probably lower fiability.

Don't know about higher rpm as the crank is the same although the rod angles will be reduced but the pistons are like paper on top

Depends how much he was able to move the gudgeon up. Longer rods give a better rod angle like has already been said. I was able to use 6mm longer rods without changing the piston crown.
