    Homefries ECU Question & Help...

Just bought a Homefries/Homefried ABY ECU from a forum member to replace the AAN one I bought from someone else who sold it to me as an ABY.... But that's another story...

Anyway fitted it no problems other than when I try to start the car... It turns over but just won't fire... have I bought one with an Immobiliser fitted (Part No from ECU 895-907-551B)... Can I over come this problem??? I have the VAG tester thingy that plugs into the Fuse box if that helps...

When I refit the AAN version the car starts first time...

Like the Idiot I am i didn't make a note of the original ECU and I have since sold it to offset the costs.... I don't know if my car had, has an immobiliser fitted or not... Its an 93 ABY...

I've had a search but cant find any info.... Am I being stupid again... or can anyone shed some light on the matter for me...

    Thanks!!

Sounds like it has an immobilisor, and sounds like you need to send it to paul to have it removed.
