having just finnished doing a reverse inlet conversion it started up first time, let it run up to temp all ok, went for a test drive all ok, let it cool down for an hour, then it would not start, it cranked but no start, vag-com'd it came up with tps fault cant remember exactly what it said as it was pi**ing it down I think it said tps closed and b+ to ground, so I cleared the code unplugged the tps block plug gave it the obligitory hmmm, plugged it back in and it fired up and drove ok
.
Having left the car overnight it wont start again, cranks but no start, so out with vag com this time vag com will not talk to the car!! it says no response from controller but in the com port test the status is ok,found and ready
,
here is what I have done with it so far,
checked all connections on extended wires-all ok,
checked all fuses-none blown,
unplugged ecu and re plugged back in,
water on hall sender,
have pulled the cover off the relay 208 and it is not switching on crank but if I push the contacts I can hear the pump, so I pushed the contact while cranking and still no start.
The car has been stood since before christmas, the fuse box is dry and carpet is dry(just the spare wheel well is not).
It is fitted with remote central locking alarm/immobiliser that auto arms that was fitted from new, this seems to be ok as when it is armed the car will not crank.
I have noticed there is no oil light on the dash but battery light is, cant remember if it was there before
as I look at the gauge, not sure if this is connected with the problem.
Is there anything else to check or test, to me it seems like the ecu is not getting any power
