Had this problem last night. At 6000 engine was cutting off.Not the sound for rpm limiter,BUT with great detonations and flames in the exhaust.Today vag com showed me the rpm sensor intermitent fault.Changed it but no solving. If i rewed it untill 6000 rpm the fault code did not apear. If i flored it after 6k the code apeared again.I tried to make the sensor go deeper in his hole to get closer to the starter ring(worked at his seat on the block).Guess what.It rews normal and the fault is gone.I changed the fly from a dm with a rr code sm fly.Maybe that was the problem?starter ring diameter a little smaller?
Hope this will help somebody,as other peoples writings helped me.
But...
i am not getting wot code in vagcom.Measured atmo sensor and it showed 1500 ohms.In vagcom it showed a 0.998 atm pressure. In my place the atmo pressure should be 1.1 aprox.I hawe adjusted the atmo sensor http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...&highlight=wot and made it to 1200 ohms and showing over 1.000 atm pressure.
I saw a tabble in elsawin that was showing that boost is bigger at low altitudes. So:my sensor was not reading the right atm pressure, but the boost should have been higher,RIGHT?So,why "tuning" the atmo sensor to 1200 ohms?why not tuning it to 1500 ohms to "be" at sea level. The main idea is that i-m still not getting boost,i'm still not getting wot code in vagcom.
The tps at iddle is 1000 ohms,at full throttle is 2500 ohms. The angle showed in vagcom is 11 at iddle and 97 at full throttle. What could be bad?WHY NO WOT CODE??
I will ceck mfts, leaks, knocks,BUT i want to see wot code
