I'm interested in exceeding the 430 PS and fast spool up, so that from 3000 rpm car was full sequence
Admission is flange k24/k26 because I have such a collector-type sport quattro / mtm. To choose a hybrid Holset hx35/k26 (7 blades), the hybrid 034motorsport Garett gt 3071.
Silnim prepared for such a power.
i already have the 3071, and if you dont plan to make any serious cyl head work or use different cam setup, id say go for the holset. My 3071 gets at best 420-430hp and dies out at 6000rpm or so. Nice spooling turbo, good for >400hp crank and definitelly good for fast spool up.
Another choise would be the 3071 with 0.82 AR, sacrifice a few rpm for better hp on the top end without the fear of EGTs cramping up.
^^^^ going for bigger hotside doesn't change the rpm at which you hit peak boost it changes the amount of boost you achieve at lower rpm before your peak.
Guess I misinterpreted your use of spool up as most people just refer to peak boost. As both .63 and .82 spool up to peak boost at the same rpm just the .63 has more area under the curve uptill that point and the .82 is capable of holding better to redline whereas the .63 starts to die of.
Varies wildlyfrom as low 12% on a hub dyno (Rototest, Dynapack, etc) to up to a ridiculous 30-50% on a Maha dyno.
What is normally used for quattro is usually 20-25%.
