Here is a ++600hp engines on forum, what kind of valve timing you are using? Do you use cam manufacturers guideline timing, or your own timing(more overlap)?

Best cam timing can only be found on a dyno by trial and error I'm afraid. Start with manufacturers numbers and use small adjustments. Allways turn engine by hand to check for clearance after adjusting.

I found few timings on the internet, all of those intake valve was more open than exhaust. Max intake valve opening was 1.2mm and max exhaust valve opening 0.9mm. That is pretty close to factory settings.

Try putting some standard cams in it that should give it some bottom end punch.

I have Holset MFS 67/70, so I think my bottom end punch is dead and gone
I'm happy if turbo kicks in about 4000rpm.
