    Jumping...

    Hi folks,

    Idle curiosity question:

What's your take on jump starting, particularly with modern ECU equipped cars, and even more particularly, with modified ECUs? I've occasionally been asked to jump start stuff when in Kitten and tend to shy away from the idea, anyway my battery terminals are almost hidden by the strut brace.

Would you be harming your S2 by using it to boost someone else's car, or if you had to get assistance to start your S2 would you be wary of getting it boosted from another source?

I'm sort of in the midst of planning upgrades to Kitten and one thing I'd be keen to know is whether this sort of thing can harm expensive electronic bits, because I definitely don't want to do that!

    Volts is volts.

No worries there sir. Can't see how you'd harm your kitty by jump starting someone - unless you are colour blind and get the wiring wrong !
