drag car and track for me is non stroker.

whats quick on the road aint the same on the track.

    track is more about RPM.

look for good flow. tubulars, nice hotside. good cooling is very important. good oil cooler and radiator.

You want a 2.2 with a lightened flywheel and lightweight lifters with HD valve springs or mechanical lifters to allow you to rev over 8000 IMO rather than a stroker.

      Strokers are limited in revs.

Don't get me wrong I love my stroker but mine is a road car where I use low and mid grunt rather than top end

From 450 upwards is where the stroker excels but for a drag you want to keep the engine singing high up the rev range.

for reference mine feels to get tight over say 7200.

its a stock head 7a ex cam.

pulls hard from 4200 or so to whenever.
