After putting my lower mileage NG into my 1988 80q from my 1990 90, I am left without a 10v motor. I do have a 16v motor with a few turbo bits on it handy from my Scirocco. After spending a bit of time on VWVortex, and looking through ETKA, I found that the swap either requires finding the mounting parts from a 4cyl B4 (which never came stateside, all were 2.8's), finding a 1988 80 FWD 3a motor and taking the subframe from it (those are almost impossible to find out here at the local breakers), or making custom mounts to work with the NG mounting provisions. I've seen all 3 methods used, but the first two don't seem reasonable, mostly based on the fact that the dealerships are unable to get these parts, or they are just simply NLA.
