coil pack question

went to change plugs over weekend lifted the cover off, and while checking the rubber boots came across this do you think i need to change the coil pack as the boot covers the missing piece,car went into dealers about 12 months ago for little job so i`m guessing it was done then but can`t prove it as i`ve been changing the plugs myself for ages,and if so are thecoil packs easy to change and are they dealer only parts cheers in advance

Number 5 is the best one to change,, you can do that one on its own. try quattro corner for one. but if it broke an its still working do you fix it tough one that.

it is number 5 and as far as i`m aware its still ok no missfire problems i will price one up and see how much they are

They are 70-90 quid each... Easy enough changed if you are tidy with splicing in new wires or making up fresh connectors.

If its not misfiring then leave well enough alone - the HT boot is doing its job of keeping spark en route to the plug by the sounds of things.

i would think so i take the thottle thingy off its only 3 bolts
