Just picking some brains, Not looked too deeply yet...But Have the 2.0 engine ABK Coupe!
It idles fine with no hunting
    Get slight Pop on overun
    Has hesitation throughout rev range
    Just feels hesitant...Any ideas?

I plan to check compression, Plugs looked ok but may change anyway, not sure if all plug leads ok?

Ive got a 2.0e 80 saloon, not sure what engine code but ive had the same symptons. I changed the plugs, Cleaned all conections, changed the maf but the fault remained. In the end it turned out to be the water temp sensor (the inner/ blue top one) and lamba sensor at fault. Hope this helps

Thanks for replies, have just ordered the 2 by 2 lead so i can read any fault codes..

Checked Cam belt alignment today, all good
        Changed plugs
        Changed Leads
Re-soldered ECU relay which was fine anyway.
Adjusted distributor, which retarded and advanced timing mark. But poor running all the way thru, almost like running on less cylinders...

I eventually checked the dizzy cap, and looks like centre contact is stuck in housing and not springing out, which i assume would give little or no spark to plugs?

I have bought new cap and rotor arm, so will report tomorrow.
        Thanks chaps.
