  • vaccum pressure at idle??

remember reading it somewhere, but cant find it

what should the boost gauge say when your car is at idle?

mine is about -5 to -6 bar, is this about right? I remember reading that it can be one of the symptoms of a boost leak somewhere.

It all depends on engine condition also, but the -0,6BAR seems to be normal.
But, it´s always good to chek the intake leaks (pressure test), the cars are old and it has lots of places where to leak

Andy do you mean inHg? Vacumme is normally messured in inches of mercury. -5 to -6 Bar would be alot, most gauges I have seen if not messured in Hg go to about -1 bar

Sorry, but with vacuum pressure can I test the status of the engine like pistons segment and valve stem seals?
        Thanks a lot!
