Paint markings on valve springs??

currently at the stage of reassembling my cylinder head on my ABY coupe and noticed that there is paint markings on the outer valve springs.

ten of them have two dots of paint on them and the other ten have three dots.
i stripped the head down more than a year ago and never noticed this so i'm just wondering if the inlet and exhaust valve springs are the same or is there some differences like spring rates etc?

are the inlet valve springs and the exhaust valve springs the same part numbers?

Looked on vagcat, seem be the same for both inlet and exhaust, I'd go with putting 3 dots on one set and 2 dots the other but other than that dont know

Part number is the same for both, and all 20 valve motors that i can see. But that is an interesting find...

I have two stripped heads in the garage packed away with all the valves and springs are in labelled bags. I'll have sort through them when i get a chance and see if i can find any markings on them.

yeah i'll just assemble all the the three dots on the inlet and the two dots on the exhaust. i really should have paid more attention when i stripped the cylinder head down.

checked 034 motorsport website and all their uprated valve springs are sold in a set of twenty as opposed to two sets of ten so i'll just assume the stock valves are the same.
