    Radiator needs new head

    The tip of the hose inlet for the top cover radiator suddenly broke off from the poor radiator coolant (glycol saturated to water)....
    The mechanic suggest to refurb the top cover to copper.
    Anyone has same experiences?
    Since its gonna be copper top cover, wouldn't it be more HOT???
    Any effects on the performance since its deviating from the design of the OEM radiator?

    Most people go with a new rad as the top is plastic. Obviously you could have it reapaired if you want, but copper may look a little pants sitting in the engine bay. (Okay you can put the decorative cover over it...)
