Swapping K24 to K26/Garret on ABY (problem needs to be solved)

    Hi,

I need your help, guys. Right now I'm trying to swap original K24 to K26/Garret hybrid but now I met a problem.

On the compressor side of hybrid I do not have that "small exit" (mark in red) ... could you provide me with the solution, please? Can you guide to the topic I can see the solution?

    Thanks in advance!

You'll have to drill and tap it to fit one, I had to do mine, GT3071.

(ohhh and mine was M10x1, we measured the thread with gauges - it seems there are two variants but I am still bemused at the idea of a German product having a non-metric thread on it...)

              sorry, explanation is missing :-)

Found a real picture. I would appreciate to see a red dot on that picture, if possible. To make a mistake could be expensive.

              My version of drilling point.

Mine had a part on the casting that looked like it was made for the job. Drilled 8.5mm tapped 1/8" NPT.

You can take the N75/WG pressure from a boost pipe if you do not want to drill your comp housing or if there is no good place to drill.
1/8 pipe thread and M10x1 are very close to each other. They are basically interchangeable in this application.

thats the way I wanted to do but the programmer recommended strongly to put it into the comp housing.. so I did

but I've also seen a car done by PKM with the connection to the pipework - but with custom ecu

Your going to get it mapped any way as everything else has changed so it dosent matter (within reason) where the nipple is, your tuner will be able to compensate for the difference in delivery of the boost if there is any!
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!
