that's good numbers for a GT30R especially at such low boost. Normally would expect those sort of figures at 2bar. What cams you running?

i could be wrong but on earlier post he was referring to 1.4bar of backpressure. Could it be that?

only seen those numbers on stroker engines, unless this is one!

        I've seen figures like that on a 3076r 560 bhp at 1.6 bar on a 1.8turbo

The 3076r is seriously under bhp rated by Garrett as I tried to explain to a few members but got told off

Need to get my car finished and on the MRC dyno

yes but 1.8T engines are more efficient than ours.I have seen 500+ on 1.8T engines with 3071R turbos.

            garrett turbo

dont know what the cams are but they had 10.5mm lift ,i would guess they are a std audi cam ,new engine builder fitted an adjustable sprocket to time cams seperatley not like the pratt before also now running titanium spring caps and uprated springs because origianal only had 37lb preload found lots of other probs like previuos builder had problems controlling boost yet when new one looked at ecu it had not been enebled in ecu it was relying on spring pressure alone ,im more than happy with results and will let yopu know how it goes, car will be at chatsworth in july

3071 ? seriously ? Thats no where near a 500hp turbo where as the 3076 exceeds it nicely.

Best results on the biggest variant of a 3071 I have seen was on a Yb and thats 465hp, best looking results on the 3076 was a 500hp/500lbft Yb in a Capri although seen much higher figures power wise.

Both engines are running a LOT of boost although the 3076 engine was well specced compared to the other

Sweeper on here got 608bhp out of his 3076r btw, I've seen 550 bhp mark cars all running though about 1.6-1.8 bar.

All in the engine setup no two cars alike

Well their obviously doing something right to get those sort of numbers from those turbos.
