    Flywheel diferences

A strange thing i noticed today tring to make some pictures with 2 flywheels.
1 is from S2 3B engine, the other from an 200 quattro 3B engine.
The diference is at the TDC mark between them as you see in the pictures.is about 2 cm in circumference between the 2. Both were fixed with the timing pins in the same location and the bolts are in the same location to eachother.
Sooo, iff i fix the timing taking in consideration the 0 mark from the flywheel i can be wrong
Is a diference in the holes from the gearboxes?
    Sorry the pictures......mobile phone.
The one marked with white is the one from the S2 3B engine.
    Thank You!

Wow. Nice discovery! Never thought about it . Different mark position means difference in gearbox window position between S2 and A200. As people are rarely mixing those combinations (due to need of center bearing insert machining) or not paying attention - nobody has noticed that in public. But this can turn in costly business when doing belt change. Community will gain from this I think.

BTW to make better "macro" photos with mobile phone with magnifying glass (basically any) added to mobile phone camera (and hold by hand). You will be amazed how much better photos become.

Nice spot there... I hope the 3B and ABY ones are the same!

Easiest thing is to always set TDC off piston 1, then you're going to be spot on.
