Homefried ECU plus more upgrades ?!

    Hello,

Im kinda new here, but I was wondering.

I have an Audi urs4 with a newly rebuilt engine, a new turbo (driven 2k km) and a new gearbox along with a new clutch. Also my Audi has a front mounted intercooler, k&n airfilter and a 3" downpipe and exhaust.

My ECU was poorly tuned, probably some ebay **** and it got ****ed up last week and my comp. says that it is damaged. So Im going to replace it with a homefried ECU.

Is that going to be a good upgrade for the car? I dont want to blow up my engine again.
Is it safe? Do I need to change the fuel system? Or does the ECU control that?

    Thank you

If its a standard AAN engine, Paul's homefry is brilliant, especially the newer selectable map version. It is fitted on a lot of cars here and all running reliably for years without issue. Well worth it

as with any tuning mod it should have the AFR checked.

experience tells me that fuel pumps etc can be on the weak side.

i remember my mate used to have subarus that varied the amouunt of boost they could support on the old systems by 0.4bar.

homefry is highly regarded on here. just check the AFR's. use your sunco 94 or whatever it is as thats about a 99ron over here.

Good advice all round. The Homefries chip is tried and tested and is good value for money too. Should see 280-290bhp on 99 fuel with that setup.
