Addressed to all you engine bod's out there... I have a converted 7A head which I am putting onto my AAN, are the exhaust valves different on the 7A as I am skimming / grinding it ready and need to know whether I need new valves or not??

Do NOT use 7a ex valves on turbo application. The factory 20vt items are sodium filled to aid cooling.
interesting. what's the benefit of using a 7A head on an AAN bottom end?

7A heads are good as they have had less abuse than a 20VT head wrt tendency for some cracks near the spark plug holes... 7A head needs fair bit of modification to work on 20VT but its well documented by now. A search here will find it
The old head is still on the car at Tonks4x4 in Mansfield and I live in Newcastle and find it hard to find time to go down and Brian has enough to do so I bought a new head as it was the easiest most efficient option...
