ECU grounding on the inlet manifold.

Grounding on the POS backing plate.

Knackered wiring going to the head (they get brittle and crack over time).

Looks like I'm gonna have to take the POS backing plate off

And it looks like it's a right P.I.T.A as I have an air con pipe in the way

Anyone else done this? any tips before I do this???

It might not have to be grounded but just a thought.

I'd check the continuity on the wiring harness to the head.

Thing is it's only on number 2 cylinder, despite changing various things to try and pinpoint it. My gut feeling is that it's a wiring fault somewhere as I swapped the leads for the POS units and the fault was still on number 2 cylinder

Which would implicate wiring and/or coil pack. If it moved, would be coil pack.

I was just going for the two things left. If youve changed the pack then meter out the wiring. Should be diagrams on s2central.
