AAN Coil Suggestions

Hey guys,
So I drove about 800 miles this weekend in my S4 and on my way home i ran into a small problem. I did a pull in fifth gear and boosted about 19PSI and it started to stutter really bad... I tried it again and it didnt do it anymore. I know its not the plugs because i just replaced them. So my best bet is that my stock POS coils are starting to fail..

What do you think?

What are your suggestions of good aftermarket coils for these?

I've just got rid of all the coil pack and switched to 'red top' coil overs doing away with the two POS units. I'll post photos tonight.

i would suggest anyone with the apikol kits buying new 1.8T coils get the ones with the same part no. as stated above but with the last letter being 'R' as this is the latest revision of them and seems to withstand more heat than the early 1.8T coils

hmm actually, from what Apikol site says the D revision ones have replaced the R ones, thats not what my freindly VW parts man told me!

I think you're getting confused with the 06B coils

as apposed to the O6A? think you might be right... so these have replaced the 115R coils that I had on the Apikol kit i used to have

Yep, there's a lot of variations in coils for VW/ Audi, and I've sold hundreds and hundreds over the last 15 years

Still, i like the look of that loom though :mischeif:

Might just see if they will sell me that by itself

i bought the loom seperate as well.
i have 5 coils at home if anybody is interested only 100km old and good as new.

i think i paid around 250 us dollar plus shipping.
