I unplugged the AFM after all the faffing above and it ran spot on. Then after a couple of hard miles, the boost guage would only show 1.0, no atmospheric.

Put it down to the AFM, bought another today, fitted it, cleared all the codes, went out for a rally, and again very quick at first, then it just started doing the boost cut!

Really starting to do my nut now, any advise would be much appreciated! Or if anyones local to Surrey and wants to come have a look it would be much appreciated.

Tbh, tempted to just get the chipset, shouldnt overboost then.

What error codes are you getting now? As it's highly unlikely that this is a software problem, putting chips in will NOT solve it. You need to make sure the car is running 100% before fitting chips.

where abouts you based mate? ive got a bodyshop in surrey, and im going to be at surrey rolling road tomorrow afternoon

Tbh, I havent plugged it in since we've changed the afm and its done it again, I'd assume its going to be maximum boost pressure exceeded and the speed sensor, which I think is due to it not having any voltage to it and checking it with the engine not running?

I was suggesting the chip, as surely with the higher boost limit it won't cause it to over boost!!

Heres a thought, maybe the previous owner adjusted the wastegate?

Can we just back that off a bit for the moment?

Also why would the digi guage suddenly just read only 1.0?

When we changed the afm to a new one, went out, it was quick like it was getting full boost then just cut....
