Could anyone please explain what these connectors are for?

    Hi,
Tried asking this question before, but didn't get an answer.

    Connectors 13 & 14 for the starter.

    Connectors 11 & 12 for the alternator.

Trying to get this sorted. Was hoping to start the car up this weekend.

13 is the starter trigger, (spade connector) switched on by the ignition key. Diagram is a bit misleading as it looks like it connects directly to the battery. Large cable shown behind 13 is the big fat power feed from battery.

14 i have never seen before, maybe its a power feed for the AC pump?

11 looks like the alternator 12v supply, round eyelet thats held on with a 8mm nut from memory.

12 i dont think exists, never seen a spade connector on the back of an alternator.

Just the sort of reply I was hoping for!

Yes, that sounds just about right

Is the starter grounded to chassis via the sump earth strap?

Would it be okay to run just a single large cable from the battery to the engine bay, lets say to a circuit breaker, and split it there for the starter and alternator?
