My ADU was having difficulty to start. After certain cranking, the engine started and I can smell some petrol most likely from the exhaust.
My ADU is non-mod, no accelerator pressing while starting. This happens slightly most of the time, but sometimes its just a good starting, but still I can smell the petrol smell.
Any ideas why???

Does it turn over for a while before starting? Petrol smell sounds like a lack of spark, just wondering if the hall sender (cam or crank) is weak and so the engine turns but doesn't start or if the POSor coils are weak and so you get a poor spark. How old are you spark plugs?

I've had weeping at the banjo bolt on the tank too. Same smptons though. Sounds morelike a hose/line gone. Partit over some card overnight and look in the morning. if theres nothing there then look at the lines in the bay.*
* Please note, do NOT use this method on any 4x4, you'll be scared how bad most of them leak just about every fluid known to man.

Its been awhile since I change them. Cars just 62K KM. I'll look at the spark plugs at first. Or I may be looking at the wrong thing for a first check......
