Choice of oversize head gasgets, 82.5++

What are the choices of head gasgets above 82.5mm off the shelf.

I know terrybullwon was getting some aby's machined out but there wasnt enough intrest.

So what are the options, obviously 7a would be bigger but is it steel and can it cope with 600hp.

TBH im not to keen on machining them as the middle layer (.1mm) on the steel gerling HG has a lip folded back on itself which applies more pressure on the fire ring.

    Thanks Baz.

You can get any size copper gasket made up by 034 but you need to o-ring the block.

To be totally truthful why do you want to go over 82.5mm anyway? The bigger the piston the greater the secondary combustion harmonics you introduce into the equation and the shorter your engines lifespan. This is why bigger bore engines tend to run balance shafts to help cancel out the harmonics.

Baz your welcome to rent the plate to mill them out from me, but I can't machine just one out as it's not very cost effective for me.

My re2500 engine had a 82.5mm bore, and i managed to find that a MML VW Transporter 2.5 TDI head gasket worked great. The re2500 was a 10v though so that may affect things. Might help though.

The engine is in and i plan on running it later in the month so o-ringing is out of the question.

I had to bore the block to 82.5 to remove the scoring on the bore no3 from a previous meltdown.
