    Cold running issues on 3B

My 3B Coupe has been a bit sick lately ...been struggling to get a look at it till tonight ..When it is cold it is missing and like running on 3/4 cylinders but the minute it has been running for say 2 minutes it smooths out ...Thinking my plugs are needing changed ?..or what else could cause this ...Lambda probe?

And on the subject of plugs I am thinking of trying something else out rather than the bosch route ...been playing about with different boost levels so looking for plugs that can handle 1.9bar easly

check the health of G62 coolant sensor on the rear of the head...from memory this can cause running issues if faulty until it warms

there is a linky for s2central.net too but can't find it currently...search on here should find it.

Could just be damp if not liking to run for first couple of mins?

        Cheers

Steve I had this problem, first thing when cold it would not run on all cylinders for a minute or so and it was the start of head gasket failure. It was caused by moisture vapor being forced into the cylinder under pressure as the engine cools down ,resulting in damp spark plug.
I hope it is not the case with yours but you can check it by removing the cap on the expansion tank after a run to relieve the pressure, and see if it is any better in the morning, or alternatively take the plugs out when cold ,turn it over a few times, replace them and see if you still have the problem.
I had a metal head gasket on at the time, but it turned out to be corrosion of the waterways in the head caused by the car being run with ether the wrong coolant or no coolant at sometime in its life.
