To use the RS2 turbo to it's full potential you need the ADU camwheel, ADU cams and advance the camwheel by 1 tooth. I am not sure if the Dahlback cam wheel will give you any advantages here....... I guess it can be useful when going for a custom remap and a re-clock of the cams.

Ok Bram but I saw a lot time ago that the ADUs cams give only 5hp and loose 50Nm. It´s correct?

One guy say me that I must buy a Dhalback adjustable camwheel AND GA GA GA.
Now, I just bought this piece (more than 200€) and I don´t know who do now.
One friend have a 7A exhaust cam to sell and perhaps it with the cam whell can me give more power os something.

Otherwise I ´ll sell the Dhalback camwheel

PS: Tom U know that I´m not spanish and I´m not in Spain. I´m basque!

Not sure what you are asking, I use a Dahlback pulley as the block was decked and the head was skimmed, consequently the cam goes in to advance, the Dahlback pulley enables me to put the timing where i want it.

            My question is this:

With all pieces of an ADU without exhaust cam. I will win anything if I mount the Dhalback camwheel? Or only if I put ADU or 7A´s cam?

            However I´ll sell this.

            Thanks

It's not a straight fitting item you need to time the camwheel, if you are unsure what it does I would sell it

i am using my dhalback cam pulley as Djones said .because my cylinder head was skimed 1 or 2 times so i need it for use the engine as the original .

i am using it as original at "0" point. i can believe that one guy said me in the past that advancing it you could win more hp or more torque ,not 100% sure

If it's at point 0 then it's not doing anything different from OEM you could have used your original cam wheel.

This was my point from the other post to use this product you need to time the cams otherwise it's a waste of money

                    hey Jamo

but i am complete sure that i need the adjustable cam pulley for adjust my ignition as original.

with my cylinder head skimmed 1 or 2 times it was impossible did it with the original cam pulley. because before install the Dhalback pulley i was using my car with the RS2 turbo with one tooth advanced or retared...these was my options after head skim with original cam pulley. hope you can understand me now

I understand what need for it but your using it at point 0 so thats the same timing as the OEM wheel so your not actually adjusting for the head skim

                        of course

i only wanted to continue using my engine as original without any advance or retarded.
because i dont know what could be happend if advance or retard my ignition without the hand of some AUDI L5 20vt tuner,so i did not want to use it without the knowledge required or know what i am doing...for dont destroy the engine

i dont know what could be happend if advance it 1 degree or 5 degrees.... ,but now if i want i could do it

Old (ish) post, You need an adjustable wheel to put the timing back to "0" if skimming and decking has taken place as the OEM wheel will put the timing in to advance.

So yes you do need an adjustable wheel to get it back to "0" as the distance between the top and bottom pulley will of reduced by the skimming and decking, where as the belt will not have..
