    fault code 00553

Can someone help please, I'm just trying an ecu with some 1.9 bar chips in them which I've been trying for a couple of weeks, it's been running really well and has transformed the car, it feels very very quick and pulls like a train but there's been a couple of occasions when it's cut out a junctions and I've just driven home from work and there was a slight hesitation in 6th gear a few times so I plugged my code reader in and fault code 00553 G70 signal too low came up It's not showing any of the symptoms listed on s2 central and I fitted a new MAF less than 500 miles ago

Any ideas please also what's a J220 please?

    cheers Paul

    J220 is ECU
    G70 is MAF

I have a lairy 1.9bar chipset for RS2/ABY now too - a lot more aggressive than my RS2 N-stream - it might need a final tweak on mixture at WOT and/or an uprated fuel pump based on some dyno runs with AFR data. Someone else has that ECU out on loan but it should be all done and dusted in a couple of weeks if all goes to plan.

Are you running S2 or RS2 fuel pump ?

I'm sure I could do a nice bargain upgrade from N-Stream to V-Stream if you are in the notion

Meant to add - initial dyno comparison shows 360bhp and 500Nm on N-Stream whilst there is 370bhp and 550Nm (400lbft) on the V-Stream.

As I said thats leaning out a little at the top end so it should do more like 380bhp. ABY fuel pump is being upgraded before the next dyno run to see where things are.

Also the test car only has S2 downpipe and S2 cams. Should do better on 2.75" or 3" downpipe.

Cheers mate,I believe it's an RS2 fuel pump, I'm going to try my original ecu with your n stream homefries in later to see what happens with the fault code, when will the v stream chips be ready then mate and how much is an upgrade

I've just been for a quick run with my original homefried ecu it went okay with no hesitations but the revs are still dropping very low as if it wants to stall when approaching junctions, checked the codes and no fault codes found, can I draw any conclusions from this

          cheers Paul

Forgot to mention that I've got the car booked in on a rolling road on Saturday, would they be able to find out what's causing this fault code or should I get the problem looked at 1st before taking it there?

Does the ISV need cleaning quite often mate? I changed it for a new one just over 2000 miles ago?

Also does anyone know if it's common to get intermitent fault codes, I've just tried the ecu with the hi boost chips in again and it's run great, no dodgy idle or hesitation and no fault codes now either
